Once again, NPR’s All Songs Considered has uncovered a true gem of an album by Marchelle Bradanini. She performs under the name Pony Boy, and her music has been aptly described as Country Noir. “Marquee Man” from Blue Gold is a stunning lounge rocker with a dirty piano backbone and a scorching guitar solo that kind of erupts in the middle of the song. This thing is crazy good. The entire album is incredible, with a special shout out to “Metal Dreams”.
